Early Life and Introduction to Music

Kostyantyn Mykolayovych Bocharov, better known as MÉLOVIN, was born on April 11, 1997, in Odesa, Ukraine. His early introduction to music came from his grandmother, who gifted him a music box at the age of four. During his school years, he sang in a choir and actively participated in stage productions, scripting plays and performing. His passion for music and performance was evident from a young age, and he was notably the only male child in his choir, achieving excellent results.

First Steps in Show Business

In 2009, Bocharov's journey in show business began when he entered the school of the folk theater "Gems." His talents flourished, and he started to organize events, marking his initial steps in a career in television. Although he faced several rejections in early attempts to enter show business, including auditions for "Ukraine has talent," his perseverance was unwavering.

The Rise of MÉLOVIN

In 2012, Bocharov's career took a significant turn when he worked as an assistant administrator on the set of the series "The Longest Day." A year later, he founded the Big House Melovin team and adopted the pseudonym MÉLOVIN. This period marked the beginning of his rapid growth as an artist. His song “Not Alone,” released in 2014, signified the start of his creative path.

Breakthrough in X Factor and Eurovision

MÉLOVIN's breakthrough came in 2015 when he decided to participate in the X Factor show. This was his fourth attempt to make a mark on the big stage. His rendition of “I won’t give up without a fight” by the Ukrainian band Okean Elzy won him the competition. This victory was a turning point in his career, leading to the recording of his album "Not Alone." In 2018, MÉLOVIN represented Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Under the Ladder," finishing in 17th place.

Discography and Artistic Ventures

MÉLOVIN's discography includes several extended plays and singles. His EP "Face to Face," released in 2017, consists of five songs in English and one in Ukrainian, showcasing his versatility. He continued to release singles that resonated with audiences, both in Ukrainian and English. In addition to his music career, MÉLOVIN has also delved into other ventures, such as voicing characters in animated films.

Personal Life and Hobbies

In his personal life, MÉLOVIN is known for his unique hobbies, including creating fragrances. He plans to develop his own perfume brand. His love for sports, hiking, and cats also forms a significant part of his life outside music. In 2021, Bocharov publicly came out as bisexual, expressing his authenticity and openness about his personal life.
