Formative Years and Formation

Tvorchi is a Ukrainian electronic music duo that emerged from Ternopil. The band was formed in 2018 by producer Andrii Hutsuliak and vocalist Jimoh Augustus Kehinde, also known as Jeffrey Kenny. Their unique blend of styles and cultural backgrounds has brought a fresh sound to the Ukrainian music scene.

Early Steps and Breakthrough

The duo's journey in the music industry began with the release of their first single "Slow" in May 2017, followed by the second single "You" in September of the same year. These early releases marked the duo's foray into the music world, showcasing their talent and potential.

In February 2018, Tvorchi released their debut album titled "The Parts." The release of this album was a significant milestone in their career, helping them to gain recognition. They followed up with a music video for the song "Molodist" in September 2018, further cementing their presence in the music industry.

Subsequent Albums and Evolving Music

Tvorchi continued to evolve their music with subsequent releases. In February 2019, they released their second album "Disco Lights," accompanied by a music video for the song "Believe," which quickly gained traction on YouTube. Their third album, "13 Waves," released in 2020, was recorded remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic and received over two million listens in its first week.

Recognition and Awards

The duo's talent has been recognized with various awards. They won the Zolota Zhar-ptytsya music award in May 2020 in the Indie category and were winners in two nominations at the online music award “Culture Ukraine.” Additionally, they won multiple awards at the Ukrainian music award YUNA-2021, including "Best Pop Group," "Best Album," and "Best Electronic Hit."

Eurovision Journey

In a remarkable achievement, Tvorchi won the National Selection for Eurovision 2023 with their song "Heart of Steel," representing Ukraine in the contest. Despite the challenging circumstances, they managed to place 6th in the final.

Humanitarian Efforts

Beyond their music, Tvorchi has been actively involved in humanitarian efforts. Amid the war in Ukraine, they raised a significant amount of money for incubators to help premature babies in Ukraine. This initiative, "Saving the Hearts of Children," reflects their commitment to making a positive impact through their platform.
