Early Life and Musical Foundations

Nikita Vladimirovich Alekseev, popularly known as Alekseev, was born on May 18, 1993, in Kyiv, Ukraine. His musical journey is rooted in his childhood, with influences from iconic artists like Queen, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, George Michael, and Justin Timberlake. Besides his passion for music, Alekseev also showed interest in sports, playing football and tennis, which highlights his versatile talent.

Breakthrough in "The Voice of Ukraine"

Alekseev's first major breakthrough came in 2014, as a semifinalist on season four of "The Voice of Ukraine." Despite not advancing beyond the first live broadcast, his talent caught the attention of judge Ani Lorak, who helped him shoot the music video for his debut single "Everything is in Time."

Ascending to Stardom

2015 marked a significant year in Alekseev's career with the release of "Pyanoye solntse" (Drunken Sun), a song that resonated widely, topping charts and earning him critical acclaim and numerous awards, including a RU.TV award and a Yuna Award. His subsequent singles, "Shards of Dreams", "Became Oceans" and "Feeling Soul", further cemented his status in the music industry.

Eurovision Controversy and Participation

Alekseev's journey to the Eurovision Song Contest was filled with controversy. Initially applying for the Ukrainian contest Vidbir, he later switched to representing Belarus in the contest. Despite facing challenges due to Eurovision's song performance rules, Alekseev won the Belarus National Selection and represented the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal.

A Flourishing Career

Post-Eurovision, Alekseev continued to thrive in his music career. In November 2018, he began cooperating with Sony Music Entertainment (Russia). His discography includes studio albums like "Пьяное солнце" (Drunken Sun) and "МОЯ ЗВЕЗДА" (My Star), showcasing his growth as an artist.

Personal Life and Influence

While much of Alekseev's personal life is private, he has been dating Ukrainian-Russian singer Ulyana Sinetskaya since 2018. Alekseev's journey in the music industry is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and talent.
