THE HARDKISS have unveiled Grey Hound, their fifth studio album and one of the band’s most ambitious projects to date.

Built around a single concept, the record explores the theme of Time and its impact on human lives. Across 12 tracks, as well as an Intro and Outro, the album examines loss, healing, separation, love, and personal transformation through a darker and heavier sonic palette than fans may expect from the band.

The album’s title references the greyhound, the world’s fastest dog breed, which serves as a metaphor for the relentless passage of time. Rather than presenting Time as an enemy, THE HARDKISS portray it as a force capable of bringing clarity, exposing truth, and helping people move forward.

The concept extends beyond the music itself. Throughout the album’s visual universe, a mysterious man in a grey suit carrying a briefcase appears as the embodiment of Time — a silent observer of human choices, emotions, and destinies.

Written primarily during a creative pause throughout 2025, Grey Hound marks a notable evolution in the band’s sound. While retaining the cinematic atmosphere and emotional depth that have become THE HARDKISS trademarks, the new material ventures into heavier riffs, darker moods, and more experimental production.

“It’s probably the heaviest album we’ve ever made, but we wanted to preserve the balance between the Hard and the Kiss,” says frontwoman Julia Sanina. “Music helps people process and survive the stages we are all going through today.”

Most of the album is performed in English, with two songs recorded in Ukrainian — “Ursula” and “1000.” Lyrically, the record moves between deeply personal stories and broader reflections on displacement, distance, and the search for connection in an increasingly fragmented world.

All songs were written by Julia Sanina and Val Bebko.

The album also features a collaboration with British rock band The Hara, a partnership that began through social media and eventually resulted in one of the record’s most energetic tracks.

Listeners who stay through the closing Outro will discover a hidden bonus composition that departs from the album’s core sound, incorporating experimental arrangements and live saxophone to bring the journey to an unexpected conclusion.
